Carl Sorvino
Yeah, he’s a creative guy. It all started when his parents bought that Magnavox Odyssey in 1976. Add to that a gaggle of Lego’s, paints, glue, some construction paper and a love for Dungeons and Dragons and a future web designer was in the making. The Apple IIc just pushed it all over the top. In the many years since those hours spent playing Archon and cataloguing all the song lyrics from Purple Rain to a 5-1/2 inch floppy, Carl has developed a deep penchant for interaction; really he just loves building things. From art school to his early roots as a CAD designer to the day he got his first agency job, Carl has been hurtling along in this space, making improvements and changes along the way, both to his core expertise and for the clients he services. In the past 14 years his experience has taken him from Granite Broadcasting as an interactive design director, through a number of start-ups and freelance positions, over to Digitas where he spent 8 years working on initiatives from American Express, Samsung, Pfizer, the New York Times and others. His present position as Creative Director at Sigma Group has found him doing some pretty cool online work for the likes of Panasonic, Famous Footwear, Ciao Bella Gelato and the New York Jets.
