Closing Ceremony And Statue Of Liberty Award
FlashAndTheCity is a community driven conference and as a community driven conference we will be giving a unique opportunity to provide awards to community members that have contributed to the Flash community in a significant way and provide them with valuable exposure.
Finalists and winners are selected in each of the following six categories:
1. Most significant Open Source Project of the year
2. Most influential Flash person of the year
3. Best contributor of the year
4. Most talented Flash Developer of the year
5. Best Flash book of the year
6. Best Rookie of the year
The FlashAndTheCity Awards entry deadline is Tuesday, March 31, 2010. In March we will pick the top five people in each category and open a public poll that will influence the decision of the judges, but wont be the only reason why we pick the winner.
Each winner will get a 25” Statue of Liberty made of white marble, solid cast material, as well as recognition and exposure for the contribution through posts in many Flash publications.
Each winner will also going to receive a box of Adobe® Creative Suite 5 Web Premium for Mac OS (similar to this product: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/web/ but with the Packager for iPhone) retails for about $1,699 and signed by many of the conference speakers. The winner will also receive other gifts from our sponsors. In case the winner cannot attend, he or she will be able to accept the prize via mail and we will connect to them via video chat during the conference.
