Statue Of Liberty Award
Flash and the City is a community driven conference and as a community driven conference we will be giving a unique opportunity to provide awards to community members that have contributed to the Flash community in a significant way and provide them with valuable exposure.
Finalists and winners are selected in each of the following six categories:
1. Most significant Open Source Project of the year
2. Most influential Flash person of the year
3. Best contributor of the year
4. Most talented Flash Developer of the year
5. Best Flash book of the year
6. Best Rookie of the year
Submit a vote that will influence the decision of the judges, but won’t necessarily be the sole determining factor in who wins.
Each winner will get a 25” Statue of Liberty made of white marble, solid cast material, as well as recognition and exposure for the contribution through posts in many Flash publications.
Each winner will also going to receive a box of Adobe® Creative Suite 5 Web Premium for Mac OS which retails for $1,799 and will be signed by many of the conference speakers. The winner will also receive other gifts from our sponsors. In case the winner cannot attend, he or she will be able to accept the prize via mail and we will try to connect to them via video chat during the conference.
As if that weren’t enough, FATC Community winners will receive a litl web book! They won’t ship until Flash Player 10.1 is available, however, we will have something to hand out to winners at the conference. We’ll collect their addresses and queue up the orders for the litl web book.

UPDATE: VOTING is now OPEN! Please note that the names and email addresses are only for our reconciliation to avoid duplicates. Your information absolutely will not be made public or solicited in any way at all.
We have had careful discussion and based on community feedback, we have updated the nominees for Most Influential Flash Person. We apologize for any confusion, and to those who nominated others, but we felt that the new list of nominees was more appropriate for the category.
