Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty

Flash And The City offers city track throughout the day and at night. On Friday May 15, 2010 from 2:00PM to 3PM we will be taking a trip to Liberty Island to see up close the Statue of Liberty National Monument.

The huge Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor was presented by the people of France to the people of the United States to honor the friendship between the two nations.

Ellis Island became part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument in 1965. Both islands are administered by the National Park Service.

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Officially titled Liberty Enlightening the World but familiarly known as the Statue of Liberty, America’s famous symbol of freedom can be viewed from any of several cruises or helicopter tours and the Staten Island Ferry. Read more about it here.

There is no entrance fee to enter the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island. National Park Passes only apply to entrance fees. Ferry fees: $12.00 – ages 13+. $10.00 – Senior Citizens (62 and over. $5.00 – Children 4 – 12. for more information click here.

We will be meeting at the 3 legged dog entrance exactly at 1:30 PM please be on time so we will be able to board the 2PM ferry and please ensure you make the reservation online in advance.
