Between 4:00PM – 5:00PM you can access a free conference about FDT. You don’t need to book in advance – just show up to the workshop and you will be able to learn about FDT.

FDT has been created to be the most advanced environment for creating Flash applications. Both inexperienced and experienced coders can use it to quickly and effectively write Actionscript. This sessions will also look at the new and upcoming features in FDT4. More info and the roadmap for FDT4 can be seen at http://www.fdt4comfort.com.

The session will begin with an introduction to FDT for beginners, covering topics such as creating projects and how to efficiently write Actionscript code.

The session will then move on to more intermediate and advanced topics including a demonstration of workflow features including workspace navigation, the creation and use of external libraries and SWCs, and some of the various ways to customize FDT to your development style.

Finally, the session will explore FDT’s new profiler, the integrated debugger, writing ANT scripts and team integration techniques.

Session Highlights include:

* Working with the new Profiler.
* Creating a project, Choosing a SDK and exploring the default project structure.
* Creating Classes, MXML files, interfaces, packages, top level methods and variables.
